Abrego Garcia Files Habeas Petition Blocking Hasty Deportation
Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan filed the petition on Abrego Garcia's behalf, triggering the District of Maryland's habeas corpus standing order for all immigration cases before the court. The order prevents the federal government from deporting Abrego Garcia for at least two business days pending judicial review.

In a joint filing, the parties said "The finalized settlement agreement will include a proposed distribution of funds to the members of the settlement class(es).
